Engineering students helping Duluth business with sustainability

A team of engineering students at the University of Minnesota Duluth are working with Duluth Pottery owner Karin Kraemer to make her business more environmentally friendly.

Kraemer is currently working on relocating her business from Superior, WI, to the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Duluth. She wanted help from these students because she hopes to save money and energy by implementing sustainable energy systems into her new building.

“It’s our earth,” Kraemer said, “and if I’m going to survive as a business I need to keep my bottom line down, and being efficient is the best way to do that.”
