The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is conducting a homicide investigation in Vista, Calif.- after a 25-year-old man’s body was found early Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Deputies responded to Twin Oaks Valley Road, around 5:30 a.m. after receiving a phone call, from a man going to work, about an unconscious body on the side of the road.

The 25-year-old man’s body showed, “signs of obvious trauma,” according to Lt. Kenneth Nelson.

His body was discovered lying off to the side in the 29000 block of Twin Oaks Valley near Gopher Canyon Road. The street will remain closed to vehicles until further notice.

There are no pictures of a possible suspect at the moment, due to the body being found in an isolated area near Fall Brook where minimal traffic passes; consequently, there are no witnesses to identify a possible suspect.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death and identity of the victim.

The Sheriff’s Department is encouraging anyone who has further information regarding the investigation should contact Sheriff’s Department homicide unit at 858–974–2321 or 858–565–5200.
