Forced Rankings of Job Performance.

When you force employees to fit into ranking systems, you do three things:

  1. Incorrectly evaluate people’s true performance.
  2. Make your live human employees feel like a mere number.
  3. Create dissatisfaction when well performing employees fear they’ll be fired due to the forced system.
