Greek Life; An opportunity awaits

When students go to college, some believe that they should put a lot of emphasis on their studies, but joining clubs may be an opportunity for students to broaden their horizons and expand their college experience. Montclair State University offers a large and diverse range of clubs and organizations that students can join over their life in college. One of the more prominent ones are the Greek Life organizations. On September 28, 2016, Montclair State University held its annual “Meet The Greeks” event for students to join the multitude of fraternities and sororities that the university has to offer.

Although some students may not be enticed to join a fraternity or sorority based on what they hear in the news, many students believe that joining a Greek organization can bring new opportunities for them, such as; friendship, leadership, community service, and more that will enhance a student’s experience on campus. The event was also greeted with some entertainment not only for students to watch and enjoy, but to learn a little history of some particular Greek organizations that stand out from the others. For some, this is the first step towards a new opportunity and experience, and students were eager to write their names into the next chapter of Greek Life.
