HI Meetup is great. Fresh new look on the app is great but why is the calendar function on android restricted to groups you are already a member of?

One of the joys of the app was being able to scroll through all meetups within x miles of y location. Great way to discover new activities and new people and join groups, even at the last minute.

Tediously selecting each interest category and swiping through groups to find new activities is a significant downgrade to functionality.

The effect is to encourage you to remain tied to your existing interests and groups instead of broadening horizons and social contacts.

Please don’t do the same to the desktop website. If the functionality was like this when I joined then I may never have discovered the groups and people it’s been my pleasure to meet through Meetup.
