Connect with like-minded Kew Mums

Guest blog by Antoinette from Mush

We all know that being a mum is many, many things. It’s amazing. It’s hilarious. It’s hard work. And sometimes, it’s downright lonely.

But there are tonnes of mums around the Kew area right now who are in the same boat. Wouldn’t it be great if there was an easier way to meet them?!

Mush is a free app that connects you with local like-minded mums in the Kew area!

This is exactly how my mum friend and I felt when we were in the early days of our motherhood journey. We had met each other in a local drop-in breastfeeding centre and later attending the same mother’s group. The first meeting was by chance, but being in the same mother’s group was our own doing. We had found a local friend and we weren’t going to let each other out of our sights.

Through this experience we felt that there had to be another way to meet mums with the same interests who lived close by. It couldn’t just be left to chance.

So together we teamed up with two mums on the other side of the world — Katie and Sarah in the UK to deliver Mush; a free app that connects you with local like-minded mums.

With the app you can create a profile that allows you to describe yourself mum self and you as an individual so that you can make connections with other mums who have similar interests. Some of our top tags are wine lover, chocoholic and multi-tasker.

Other features include:

The mush matcher is how we help mums meet other mums near them with kids the same age. Based on what you’ve told us and any friends in common, we suggest a load of brilliant mums near you. It’s like Tinder, but without the one night stands.

Your mush hub lets you see what’s going on near you, from mums looking to sell a buggy to local playgroups, so you’re never out of the loop.

mush guides are written by mums for mums, our non-judgemental, not too serious guides give a helping and supportive (and hilarious) perspective on everything from breastfeeding to when it’s OK to start drinking.
