Learning is as simple as A , B, See.

Toying with ideas and trial and error with simply doing are great ways to find failure and success.
I can remember learning to Skateboard in my teens — Yes I wore skinny jeans .. once.
I would repeat the action for hours just to learn to Olley.
I knew if I got the fundamentals right I could transfer them over into other tricks. I went out and just jumped everything I could.

When I started that was nothing:
Kerbs — Fall on my face.
Old Crumpled Cans — Fall on my face.
Small stones — Yep I would fall on my face.
I ended up spending over 8 hours in my garden, in June summer heat on the lawn, just trying to jump this poxy Skateboard!
But I did it in the end, I could Olley!!!

I learnt to Nolley shortly afterwards.
Kickflips and Heelflips came quickly after, as did the confidence.
It was a great summer. I loved the thrill and fun.

My son recently Rolled his skateboard out to go out and play.
I ran over to it in my flip-flops and performed a near 3ft Olley and it felt great.
Not having the correct footwear on though cost me the skin on the top of my foot and little toenail!
Note to self :
“Never attempt that again without correct footwear.
Sincerely,
Your Toes!”
