Demographically, Trumpland cannot win (only through splitting core left constituencies and suppressing votes can the DJT coalition win).

I’d say that’s a bit overly simplistic. The blue wall states that crumbled did so, it appears, by flipping enough white working class Obama voters to do so.

Those white working class voters are traditionally Dem voters not because they support the broad spectrum of Dem priorities, but because of their former union associations only.

As far as their priorities are concerned, it has been noted for some decades that they lean right.

If the Dems cannot stop the leakage of votes from this group of voters who are rather conservative socially and economically…….they have a generational problem on their hands.
