It’s just another form a scapegoating.

All emotionally immature people search for a reason why they have not been as successful in life as others. Blaming the “patriarchy” for your failures is one of the best. It’s always out there, and you can even get a college degree in it.

This is not to say that there ISN’T a “patriarchy”, and that it sometimes acts in ways which are not in the best interests of women. But because of the modernization of views and legal reforms and protections, the number of women denied their potential by said “patriarchy” is, in my belief, rather small.

In the vast majority of the cases, we do it to ourselves, and if we “fail”, we have only ourselves to blame.

Of course, layered on top of these emotionally immature scapegoaters is a professional class of “scapegoater exploiters”, who know full well that the audience for their lectures and books are largely people who have failed all by themselves.

But the last thing they would ever do would be to kill the goose laying the golden egg by telling them the truth.
