Thank you dear. We are right on Brays Bayou, but the geniuses of the Corps of Engineers spent the last decade on a SW Houston Flood Control project in our area. We never came close to flooding, even though *historically* we are in one of the most flood prone areas of the city, and our canals and retention lakes have receded to their normal levels.
That said, just two miles north of me roads are closed because of the overflow of the Buffalo Bayou and the controlled releases of the Addicks and Barker reservoirs. We know plenty of flooded out people, and prayers are solicited, as well as that very easy 10 dollar donation to the Red Cross that people can do via text message.
That article (which of course was not MY dissertation, but that of another) ……put a LOT of things into perspective for me as to why liberals process information they way they do…. things where for years I’ve been thinking “Ok, just HOW did you connect THOSE two (unrelated, in my mind) dots?”.
It’s going to take me awhile to process it all.
