The problem you have is that a majority of Americans do not see the “corporate powers” as the enemy. I certainly do not. The large corporations employ 45% of us after all, and business pays all the taxes in the US, either themselves or by paying us a wage which we then pay income tax on.

To me, the oddest thing about US politics is that the same party that wants to rely the most heavily on the taxes paid by businesses constantly supports legislation that results in them paying less in taxes.

Politics that views the entities that fund the government as the enemy of the government is dysfunctional.
