Yea, I noticed that little piece of fascist rationalization. :-)

It reminded me of the little ditty that Obama threw out during one of the 2008 debates regarding the capital gains tax, which is a tax which actually DOES pay for itself, historically.

He said, basically, that an increase in the cap gains tax was still desirable for “fairness”, or some other such nonsense. IOW, bad policy can be defended if it has the effect of messing with the people you don’t like.

I am sure Gulags and Cambodia cleanses, had some nice formulated goals too.

Oh, absolutely. Vicious brutal dictators never consider themselves to be vicious or brutal. They are simply forced to do what they are doing because of the goals they wish to achieve. According to themselves, of course.
