Panel report for design prototyping and usability testing.

The one aspect that stood for me was that the different designs throughout their development of this application. It keeps changing based of users needs as this app is meant to use by them. As I also use One Bus Away application, I find it pretty convenient. It was easy to navigate around the application and less wording.

To me usability testing is very important as it will improve the products or services when we are about to build it. In the Nordstrom project, she did conduct the usability testing more than 2 times in order to collect as much data as possible from the customers on how to improve customers’ needs and preferences. I think this was very stood out strategy in order to keep the customer loyal to our product.

Based on what I learned from it, I think things that can be improved my sprint project is that I have the idea on how to improve my interaction design in my application from the previous studio activity. I know now how to improve my interaction design by conducting the usability testing on potential users which in my case is people who encounter with the scenario for my application. For instance in the One Bus Away application, they conducted the usability testing upon passenger who using buses as their frequent transportation.

I think both of the panel delivered their knowledge pretty concise and clear. It was good to have both panel came to give the beneficial information and how the real world application really works. It was good to have the insight on how these two product managed to interact with their potential users.
