Well, yes, a portfolio is some sort of a personal playground. While you can experiment however you like, its greater purpose is to getting your work discovered. Thus, I would like my portfolio to be as accessible and clear as possible.
That said, this is just my opinion. At the end of the day, it’s still your portfolio. You can do whatever you like on it.
On another note, I did create a whole bunch of side projects. Regrettably, none of them actually took off. Luckily, I didn’t invest a large sum of money on them. Maybe I will share them someday.
