Hey Guys !!! Welcome back , this post would be a non-technical and does not really dwell into coding , if you miss that you can check my earlier post .

Being a mobile developer and associated with IT industry , one really gets tagged with responsibility of being good ambassador for them . One would always get bombarded with questions as to

How to update to latest OS ?

How to check security of my mobile phone ?

My phone gets hanged ,please fix it !!!

What brand , model , RAM , camera quality ,feature etc does this mobile has ?

Etc Etc Etc …

In short , every one wants the best one considering key things in mind ..

i) Ease of communication in day to day life and connecting with peers and also to carry out business .

ii) Good amount of memory for storage purpose

iii) Best entertainment value

iv) Social Status :P … I don’t know how many how of you agree with this but I sense it .

So , lets take a look back into history no too far ….when 1st handheld mobile was made possible by Motorola on April 3, 1973 ……. no not that far …….we cut forward in the late 90s or early 2000s the mobile market was dominated by Nokia , Blackberry OS , Motorola and host of other companies until the year 2007 where Apple bought a revolution as to how we look at them and Steve Jobs was credited with that vision . Along side Apple , another company Google acquired Android Incorporation to divided the mobile market in two halves having only 2%–3% market share for other OS as of 2019 . Stats.

  1. One which is dominated by Android OS based smartphones. (Approx 75% as of Jan 2019)
  2. The other one which is captured by Apple iPhone . (Approx 23% )

As of 2019 , no other OS comes close enough to beat the market share that both Android & iPhone has and loyalty they have among their customer base once thought to be enjoyed by Blackberry users in early 2000s.

So, my coming to my post which says which mobile phone should I buy ???

In case of Apple , its simpler , just buy the latest iPhone in market as Apple being a close source OS , all the upgrades and device manufacturing is handled by Apple itself and no other device manufacturer is allowed to do so . So , the end customer gets the exactly same OS and Customer Experience which Apple has worked upon. But , it comes with one minus point of being expensive in some of the countries where it gets taxed heavily for the features it provide.

You can google out many online store like Amazon , Flipkart etc and place your order .

Apple Official website to locate offline store : Link

You can get the latest tech specs from here .

When it comes to Android , the open source paradigm has given different manufacturers various choices to customise the OS as per their choice and the end product may or may not adhere to Customer Experience which Google expects to be . Some major device manufacturers like Samsung had its set of issues , slowdown on upgrade to new OS updates , other manufacturers had similar issues either with hardware or software or both .

These learnings let to Google to introduce concept called ANDROID ONE which specifically specifies manufacturers a minimum set of rules to be followed to make user experience at its best both at hardware as well as software level.

Google itself introduced a line of devices called Nexus Phones which is flagship mobile and has been kept under shadow after Pixel phones came into limelight .

Considering the various tech specifications both Google & Apple provide how can we compare this at same level , I see towards this site GSMArena where one can filter compare different phones and check out the different specifications for the same .

Which ever phone you buy … make sure you have good experience and upgraded to latest OS … That’s it from me , see you in next post .
