I also have a brother who is close in Philando’s age who happens to also live in Minnesota. Being that I have already lost my grandfather to police brutality, I honestly fear watching the news and seeing another family members face on the screen. The statistics you listed in this post are unbelievable. I am glad to see young people such as yourself standing up and making a difference. I’ve heard over and over again “blacks are killing blacks” as if that’s an excuse to wrongfully kill innocent young African American men. Keep doing what you’re doing, keep going to those marches and finding your inspiration, keep uniting with other African Americans and our allies, you’re going to save a life one day! Great paper!
