I happen to agree more with the statement #BlackLivesMatter; Not just because I am a young black male, but because black men are being targeted by police. I honestly have not heard of or seen any media on a white police officer killing an unarmed white man. However, the list goes on on how many black men have been murderer by law enforcement. I don’t know of many white men who fear leaving their home because they don’t know if they’ll make it back alive due to all the murders that police are getting away with, but the list goes on on how many black men face this fear DAILY. In all of the killings done by police to African American men, not one has been convicted or punished for their actions. THATS where the problem lies. Police officers are murdering our young black men and getting away with it! Great post Alex and great way to stay open-minded and mention both perspectives!
