Azure Data Engineering — Creating Azure Synapse Analytics Service
Today we are going to deep drive into Azure Data Analytics Space.
As part of this article, I am going to create Azure Synapse Analytics Service. Please follow me below to create the same.
I thought to start this Azure Data Engineering Posts for helping my friend Data Engineers for cracking Data Engineering interviews and for being more effective.
Without further delay let us start to create Azure Cloud environment.
If you don't have account, I will recommend creating free one for practicing it. You just need a Credit or Debit Card and a Microsoft email id for acquiring one Month free Subscription.
Go to Services in Azure portal and search for “Azure Synapse Analytics.”
Now you go to Azure Synapse Analytics Service and create the instance.
I am using free trial.
You have to enter Resource group name if you do not have any.
You can keep Managed Resource Group option blank Azure will create automatically one for you.
Now Resource Group is a group which holds all the azure cloud resources you want to create as part of that grooup.
If you delete or drop resource group all the resources will be deleted as part of it. If you want to set permission common to all resources inside the group, you can apply group level permission.
Managed Resource Group hold all the resources required related to auxiliary resources for managing and maintaining the Azure Synapse Analytics workspace.
Now you have to give -
workspace Name — Name of the Azure Synapse Workspace
Account Name — Name of the Storage Account which holds all the Azure Synapse Analytics Resources
File System Name — This is nothing but the container name.
Now you have to give use rid and password for the Azure Synapse Analytics workspace.
Now enter networking details. We will keep it as default for now and proceed to next step.
Here we will not add any tag details.
Once it is completed now go inside Resource Group mysynapse-ag and you can view below synapse account and workspace.
Now you can go to gen2synapseaccnt Storage Account we have created and can view that container synapsefolder is created.
Now you are ready with your own Azure Synapse Analytics workspace.
In next Article we will see how to Create Serverless sql pool to query your very own Data.
