About the Neural Information Processing Systems(NeurlPS) meetup in Abeokuta
I am writing here again after a very long break!
The purpose of this writeup is to introduce NeurlPS and state the benefits of attending the meetup. Sounds Interesting? Then read to the end.
What is NeurlPS?
NeurlPS is one of the largest AI conferences in the world. It is an annual meeting currently hosted in Canada whose aim is to foster the exchange of research on neural information processing systems in their biological, technological, mathematical, and theoretical aspects. The core focus is peer-reviewed novel research which is presented and discussed in the general session, along with invited talks by leaders in their field. The agenda of the conference this year can be found here.
Ooh!🙄 don’t worry if you do not understand all the complex text in that agenda, we’re not going through all of it at the meetup. 😄
Good or bad news? 🤔
About the Meetup
The purpose of the meetup is to provide an additional way for the NeurIPS community and specifically, members of the community who are not able to attend the conference to engage with NeurIPS scientific content. You can read more about the meetups here.
Why should I attend the meetup?
Some of the things you’d gain from attending include;
- Understanding good research practices
- Reading Research Papers
- Great talks and tutorials from AI experts
- Connecting with new people in the field
- Another opportunity for free food!
I’m new to the field, can I still attend?
Yes! Yes!! Yes!!!
By attending, you have an opportunity to get introduced to Neural Information Processing Systems and also an opportunity to join the AI Saturdays Abeokuta community!
Register here! to attend the meetup.
