It’s time for The Unofficial Weekly Stratis Retrospect #23.

For anyone wanting to read my previous blogs, you can find them all here.

Disclaimer: Never take anything I say (or anyone else on the Internet says) to be investment advice. Consult with a professional, and extensively do your own research before ever investing into anything.

ICO Platform Launch

Stratis announced they would be launching their ICO Platform on May 9. One can now easily crowdfund any project, provisioning, setting up and deploying it to Microsoft Azure with just a few field entries and a few clicks. I will cover Strat’s full release of their ICO Platform in more detail in my next weekly blog. For the time being (and since this already happened), I can’t help but link to their announcement here.

Please remember government regulations for ICO fundraising vary from territory to territory. Any person or entity launching an ICO and/or investing in any ICO should FIRST consult with an experienced professional to assure they follow any required government regulations and fully abide by the laws of any territory involved in their process.

Smart Contracs Alpha Launch

Stratis announced they will be releasing their Smart Contracts in C# Alpha on May 16. This is another huge milestone on Strat’s Q2 development roadmap and something I (and a lot of others) have been eagerly looking forward to. With the release of Smart Contracts, Stratis will open the floodgates to developers writing smart contracts in C#. Smart contracts will also add a lot more functionality to the Stratis Platform.

Smart Contracts Official Video

The official video of the presentation about Smart Contracts in C# from Jordan Andrews at the London Blockchain Expo is now available! You can have a look over here.

Smart Contracts Explained

Stratis smart contract developer, Rowan de Haas, released the following article about smart contracts: “A Mental Model For Smart Contracts.” You can read his interesting article over here.

Blockhack.de

Stratis is sponsoring Blockhack! On behalf of Stratis, Mahesh Chand will be manning the Stratis booth on May 5–6, 2018 in Newark, Delaware, USA.

Weekly Github Commits

One thing that was missing in the weekly blog was an overview of the commits that have been made in the past week and an explanation of them. Well that’s about to change. You can have a look at last weeks commits over here. Here is a summary of last weeks com:

This week in the Stratis Full Node code base, we see commits were merged into the codebase from 8 different developers. Along with the usual bug fixes and refactoring to make the code cleaner, we see that the nuget version is being updated, which usually proceeds publishing a new nuget package for developers to download. One of the largest code changes this week are a huge commit by dangershony which refactored out “Static Flags”, which is cause for celebration — in the description of the change we see this line “Deleteing static fields — halleluya”. Some more changes to support Smart Contracts are also evident.

21Cryptos

21Cryptos is my favorite magazine in crypto. It’s the first and only Bitcoin trading magazine that releases monthly. They list a top 21 of coins to pick for each month. In May’s new edition, Stratis came in at very respectable #4.

Unity 2018.1

You can now enjoy full NBitcoin and Stratis support in your Unity games without having to build it yourself. Read more about this cool development over here.

Oh My Hodl

Thanks to @OhMyHodl for the amazing ‘HODL’ card!

Stratis vs Ethereum

GlobalCoinReport released the following article: “Stratis (STRAT) or Ethereum (ETH): Which One to Choose?” You can read their article here.

Stratis Price

I don’t typically talk much about the price of Stratis. I rather like to focus on its development, news and overall progress as a stable and unique platform. However, due to a lot of good things happening in terms of “charts and attention,” I am sharing this with you.

GLUON

GLUON announced their ICO a few months ago, which will be the first ICO to launch from the Stratis ICO platform. This week, GLUON released new information about their project:

Beyond Global Trade

Beyond Global Trade (BGT) announced their ICO, which will be the second ICO to launch from the Stratis ICO platform. This week, BGT also released new information about their upcoming project.

That’s it for last week’s news. All the best to everyone!
