Stratis Smart Contracts in C# Alpha Release

On 16 May, 2018, Stratis accomplished a huge milestone by releasing their Alpha of Stratis’ Smart Contracts in C#. According to the CEO of Stratis, Chris Trew, smart contracts are one of the backbones of blockchain as a transparent, decentralized marketplace. The more inviting Stratis can be to get people to join that marketplace, the faster blockchain will be adopted. Stratis’ foundation in C# and .NET programming broadens the world of smart contracts immediately, and Stratis looks forward to seeing what people will do with it. You can read the full announcement over here.

For all C# developers out there, this is your chance to start forging the future using tools you are already familiar with. Here is the information you need to get started:

Together with the Smart Contracts in C# release, Stratis released a nicely-produced video featuring smart contract developer, Chris, Jordan. Take a look at the video over here.

Stratis Community Testing and SDF

The Stratis community started testing the Smart Contracts in C# release right away. Initiatives like the Stratis Development Foundation (SDF) stepped in to help flesh out documentation. Thanks to Aevan, there is now a guide, Creating and Deploying Smart Contracts, funded by the SDF.

The SDF also released a video about who they are and what they endeavor to do. You can have a look at their video over here.

Marketing Appears for Stratis Smart Contracts in C#

Since the release of the Smart Contracts, there has been a lot of media coverage for Stratis. A highlight is an article from C# Corner. C# Corner is a partner of Stratis, and it’s the largest global community of C# Developers in the world, with a global community of 3 million members worldwide. You can find their article over here (which already has over 7,000 views).

Next to the media coverage mentioned above, a lot of other articles showed up!

Jumpstart Blockchain for .NET Developers

On 16 May, 2018 Mahesh Chand presented about blockchain. Henry He, also presented about building a blockchain with .NET core. This event was sponsored by Stratis and was fully booked (100 participants). They even decided to make more room for 100 more attendees.

Chinese government

Last week the public blockchain ratings by China’s ministry were released (source in Chinese). In total, 28 public blockchains were rated, and Stratis was listed as #10. Keep in mind Smart Contracts in C# weren’t yet released when they rated the blockchains (Stratis’s Smart Contracts in C# Github wasn’t public). Stratis likely would have ranked even higher with that information taken into consideration.

So, what does this mean for Stratis? Stratis being ranked by the Chinese government and appearing in high-exposure Chinese media is great for the exposure of the brand.
