I am a Baby

I thought when I turned 18, I will be this grown-up with all these responsibilities, and I would be all wise and smart. Turned out, 18 years old me feels the same way as the 5 years old me.

What does this mean to me? It means that I can put my head down and work for the next 8 years, and still be a baby at 26. It means that I will have 62 to 82 years left to play this game of life. It means that I have so much to learn and so much values to create for other.

I am still really naive and really optimistic about the world— even though a lot of people tell me to be pessimistic, and to feel sorry for myself. But I am probably one of the luckiest human being to ever lived on this Earth, because I was born into the right era.

I hate how these people are saying that they were born too late to explore the world, and too early to explore space. Guess what? You were born into the beginning of a Renaissance, a beginning of an explosion in exposure to information. 100, 400, 1000 years from now, people will be remembering this era as the beginning of something great: scientists just figured out how to sequence the human’s genome; self-driving car and other artificial neural networks are coming; virtual reality and augmented reality are in their earliest stage; and my absolute favorite, human enhancements.

So if you think that flying the plane is cool, I just can’t wait to show you what human are capable of. On top of it, I just want to yell at the top of my lungs telling the world how good I have it
