Hey Kim! Your cookies were delicious!
I liked that you really had strong concept behind your cookie. Everything was well thought out and creating a cookie inspired by a place or region was a great way to go about things because it feels like I’m going on a vacation and I could imagine myself being there and finding similar tastes while I would be there. Perhaps one of the strongest part of your blog is the photography. I am drawn to all the ingredients and cookie steps because they stand out so well against the white background. The colors and textures that are represented in ‘Fig. 4' really help in making a case for your Asian inspiration because the continent is so varied so the colors do well in representing this diversity.
I wished that there could have been a few more of the hand written exploratory pages added to the blog but your overall idea generation was still just as effective. Another thing was that there was curry that was mentioned that could have added a kick to the cookie, even if just a little noticeable. If not curry, you could find another spice or herb from Asia to add to the ‘Asian’ flavor.
What if, the next time you tried this, you tried a different kind of cookie ‘bread’ that complimented the toppings since their flavors drowned out the cookie bread itself. Maybe this could be an opportunity to add some of the other flavors that would have made this more ‘Asian’.
Overall, it was incredibly delicious though, and was perhaps one of my favorite cookies of the class.
