Lection — ‘Wa Bona Nou’

Lection’s back with a deep kwaito squelcher.

I can’t say that’s a descriptive term I use regularly, but listen to the bass section of the track and tell me you disagree.

Elsewhere, there’s a Mustardian influence in the regular off-beat inhales, which are reminiscent of the producer’s signature ‘AYE’s, and the occasional bell toll echoes the generally ominous vibe of the track.

Rhythmically this one is built to be moved to, the verse pulsing with particular purpose, and the chorus strips back and opens up, allowing the ‘wa bona nou’ catchprase and simple guitar line to drive it melodically.

I fucks with this sound.
