Our SMB Software Market Thesis
Mark MacLeod

Great piece. As a 12+ year product leader at Intuit and founder/advisor of SMBs, I see so much potential in this space. A couple of other positive drivers: 1. Cost of Customer Acquisition, which has always been they key challenge in this space, continues to go down with technology, and 2. More talent being applied to this space — as the explosion of side gigs etc. happens, more talent gets interested in solving problems that they see in their everyday world. The biggest issue is that many problems are best solved not “for SMBs” which are too diverse in their needs, but for a particular niche vertical within SMBs. Most entrepreneurs/VCs aren’t willing to see opportunity in that type of slice of the pie
