The rapid growth of the unreal world is unavoidable these days. The chances of speaking to an actual human being are pretty low when reaching out to customer service. Even if you’re not trying to engage with the unreal world AI technology has given rise to, bots are everywhere you turn! Many of us have experienced the irritating process of trying to get help from a bot that doesn’t understand what we’re asking for, or the increasingly realistic scam callers. They’ve even invaded social media platforms, recklessly spreading false information and harmful deep fake videos. Overall, the negative reputation of the unreal world AI creates is well deserved.

As annoying as it might be to be caught up in the unreal world AI spawns, it has also become a powerful tool for businesses around the globe. Over the last few decades, the unreal world has evolved; with more data, increased computing power, and gradual improvements to AI models, it’s become a business necessity. Business owners are turning to AI to streamline their business processes, elevate the customer experience, and ultimately lead to better business outcomes.

For example, Walmart worked with Google Cloud to incorporate AI capabilities across their business. Ai has been used to improve demand prediction, inventory management, and supply chain optimization, creating a fuller picture of their business practices. By using Google’s BigQuery, Walmart has improved its data processing time by 23%, enabling them to cut labor time from five to three days.

An Accenture survey in 2019 found that 84% of C-suite executives felt they needed to leverage AI tech to achieve their goals for growth. 75% believe they risk losing the business in the next five years if they don’t incorporate AI tech into their business. AI is an essential tool in the future of the business world.

Corporations are influencing the way the unreal world is being built. Using AI data for collaborative and creative purposes has made distinguishing between what’s real and what isn’t difficult. Advances in generative AI and generative adversarial networks (GANs) have led to more realistic synthetic data. By 2030 most of the data in AI models will be synthetic.

This prediction has significant implications for the future of business. Businesses can use synthetic data to train AI models in a way that real-world data cannot. Corporations can share realistic but unreal data without the risk of confidentiality and privacy that real-world data might have. They can also create a more diverse data pool to overcome potential bias.

Despite the somewhat negative view of AI, such as unhelpful chatbots, many businesses are using AI tech to improve their odds for the future of their business. As AI integrates itself across industries and facets of technology, enterprises are finding a way to develop an unreal world that is indispensable to their success in the looming future.
