How To Make Poha Recipe

Poha is a popular Indian breakfast dish made with flattened rice flakes, spices, and vegetables. Here's a simple recipe to make Poha:

Ingredients:

2 cups flattened rice flakes (Poha)
1 onion, chopped
1 potato, peeled and diced
1/4 cup peanuts
1/4 cup green peas
2-3 green chillies, chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
A pinch of asafoetida (hing)
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves, chopped for garnish
Lemon wedges for serving.

Instructions:

Rinse the Poha in cold water for a minute, drain the water and set aside.
2.Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and asafoetida.
3. When the mustard seeds start to splutter, add chopped onions, diced potatoes, green chillies, and peanuts.
4.Fry the mixture for a few minutes until the onions turn translucent and the potatoes are slightly cooked.
5.Add turmeric powder and salt to the mixture and stir well.
6. Add the soaked Poha and green peas to the pan and mix everything together gently.
7. Cover the pan and let it cook for 5-7 minutes on low heat.
8. Once the Poha is cooked, turn off the heat and let it sit for a couple of minutes.
9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges.

Your delicious Poha is now ready to be served!
