ouch, that a pain, literally

Yes, that so sounds like my relationship with my mom. She thinks the only real job is a state paid job, so imagine explaining to her what a “gig” is and why I’m never going to even register as working. Yeah, 2 houses and a painfull south american trip later she reached: well maybe it’s ok for now.

I don’t want to prescribe things. As you can see, my communication is lacking. But, like with cients, you take the mental journey with them. You are talking to her, rather than exploring new ideas with her. Meet her at her level(you need to really understand their values for this and not only stereotypes and misrepresentations) and have the journey with her. If you really think like that, what piece of information breaks the hold onto that idea? what’s the stereotypes? what benefits does the new world view offer? Make everything personal.
