Populism is the extreme expression of democracy, yes it is bad, but don’t argue that democracy’s externalities is bad for democracy. That’s some 180° ideological spin on language. “Let’s prevent the people for electing someone that might prevent the people from electing someone.”
Pluralism is ironically what you are trying to fight. Again, argue that a destructured geopolitical arena is more violent and dangerous than a unified world commonwealth but don’t distort the meaning of plurality.
