Chasing Dreams

A desk covered in dreams,
Every name a life about to begin.
I make notes, wondering what their faces look like.
They’ll soon be here
— their thoughts written on wrinkled foreheads.

Each file a past, a reality of a present, a glimpse into a future.

Fear-tainted possibilities, empty-wallet options — dreams to be discarded, then resurrected.

The perpetual idea-stream channeling through their minds. There’s an ocean in every soul; some a calm sea, and some a storm. The voyage is about to embark.

Are you ready?

This is where I operate: in the midst of despair, of success, of the genesis of the American Dream. To these I lend a listening ear, reminding them that life keeps moving. Every choice is a decision whether you consciously make it or not. You’d better be conscious of that.

The best way to deal with chaos is to use it to your advantage. Move with the flow of time and events. Use the momentum to get the ball rolling. Force = Mass x Acceleration. At times these forces are applied to us, other times we’re the ones who apply it.

The point is this: you get to choose what you do with the time you’re given to live. We only live once, so make it count!

Pray — have faith, have courage.

Nothing compares to the feeling you get from knowing that you’re in the right place at the right time in God’s eyes.

Metamorphosis is not easy, nor is it plainly visible; yet, it is necessary. Not every good thing is the best thing. Life is more than meets the eye. There is beauty in discovery.

Embark on the journey. Take the risk. Pray through the storms. It will all be worth it in the end.

— No regrets.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
