To summarize your argument, if I have a start-up and if I wish to be acquired eventually by a large organization, then I should stay away from React.
What if I wanted to build a sustainable business instead? Without the need to talk to Angels or the need to get acquired?
Then the major risk is getting into a conflicting business with Facebook and it’s subsidiaries. The scope of subsidiaries is left open, so tomorrow the minute Facebook acquires any of my competitors (yeah, they wish!!) … but let’s say if they do, then my license is revoked.
Either ways, as a start-up which is focused on differentiation via IP, I would want to steer clear of this.
