Protocols for read-write operations, that are distributed in nature, is the root of all of these problems. Basically, read-write operations over HTTP that includes Identifiers that distinguish Users from Software Agents.
There are efforts in place to address the Read-Write, Identity, and Resource Access Control issues. The problem, as usual, is promotion and collaboration (which is how the Web, Blogging, and everything else exploded).
