Of course not! There are no excuses for blurring the lines between Individuality and Community. An individual MUST be the prime calibrator of vulnerability, not a third party or community of third and tertiary parties (as is the norm today via cloud-hosted systems).
Apple’s stance on privacy is ultimately its longterm competitive advantage, relative to competitors that have business models that implicitly compromise the privacy of users.
