A Million Ways To…
The idea is simple — pick an activity, any activity, and do it in as many different ways as possible!
Here's an example: Opening the fridge.
You can do it as: someone that's hungry, someone that's bored, someone that's checking what they have so they can prepare a grocery list, like a caveman that's surprised by the technology, like a fridge repair man trying to find the issue, and many, many other ways.
You're only limited by your creativity.
Tongue Twisters
Tongue twisters are the best way to develop a clear speaking voice which is invaluable for any actor. Prepare a list of tongue twisters and then take turns saying them with your kid!
Here are some examples:
- Pay the purple people eater.
- Chester the Cheetah chews a chunk of cheap cheddar cheese.
- If a dog chews shoes, whose shoes does he choose?
Character Charades
Everybody loves charades. In this actor-version of the game you always need to play a character. So, if the word is, for example, Cowboy, then you or your kid HAVE TO act like the cowboy — riding a horse, throwing a lasso, herding cattle.
You're not allowed to show the word in any other way (e.g. showing a cow and then a boy). To get the acting benefits from this game you must become the character you have to show.
