THE SPRINGROLE PLATFORM FOR ATTESTATION

SpringRole is under the Project Spring Foundation. SpringRole is an attestation platform which seeks to reward users and attesters for the services they provide through the platform. SpringRole’s aim is to reduce the cost employers use while recruiting new employees while providing a great alternative to the employment system that the market offers. It also plans to feature a ranking system which will be based on skill and the amount of recommendations a potential employer or employee gets. The need for an attestation platform Conducting a recruitment exercise is such a resource consuming process. An organization seeking to hire, say 30 workers, has to advertise the positions available. They also have to come up with a team that will vet the applications coming in, shortlist the most convincing candidates and hold interviews with a fraction of the applicants to find the best amongst them. This is not a one or two-day exercise but it could even take over a month to find employees. The money that is also required during this period is a lot as you have to cater for the various allowances the recruiting team will get plus other miscellaneous spending that are likely to come up during the course of the exercise. In as much as this sending may be planned for, sometimes the amount spent is too high. However, institutions usually have no other option and that is why SpringRole is creating its platform as an able alternative to the common recruitment drives held by institutions. Another overlooked factor and why SpringRole may be important especially for those seeking jobs is the fact that many people lose their documents yearly due to negligence or irresponsibility by some of the recruiting staff. In a digital age where most of the document that we have can be quickly turned into files that are stored in devices safe from any harm, it is a pity that some of the troubles we go through is because of lost physical documents. SpringRole has the potential to lead the employment sector in adapting to the current digital status of the world, allowing original digital documents as proof that an applicant is qualified in a specific area or has attained some specific requirements or qualifications. Digitizing recruitment processes may save a lot of time and money which are highly prioritized in most businesses. At the core of SpringRole’s attestation platform will be the need to prevent and do away with fake documents that are usually present in any recruitment process. Players in the SpringRole Ecosystem

SpringRole’s platform is an attestation platform thus requiring a host of different stakeholders within its platform to fulfill its mission. It plans on having attesters from different professions and different sectors dealing with employment. The following are among the key players that will make the SpringRole Platform successful, • Universities. These are the source of a greater portion of employees. They train future employees equipping them with the knowledge and skills to carry out their various tasks. Universities are important in attesting to the cited skills and qualifications that applicants will bring forward when signing up for the SpringRole platform. SpringRole will try to attract as many universities and other tertiary institutions as possible in order to accommodate as many employees and employers as possible. These universities will serve the function of confirming whether applicants of a certain position who have cited the university as a point of their learning were actually in the university during the stated period studying the said course. They will also have to authenticate the documents provided digitally by applicants to show that they passed their various learning levels whilst in these universities. • Professionals in various fields. There are professional figures in fields such as medicine, for example Dr. Ben Carson, who can be used as points of reference when institutions are seeking for top-tier employees. These professionals can refer individuals to institutions or institutions to individuals using the platform. They could also attest to the skills that individuals may have gained or are known to have in professional circles. This could boost the resumé of applicants or the credibility of institutions. • Various institutions. Many of those seeking employment are usually seeking greener pastures or a change of environment. They may have worked in other organizations before which they will clearly state on their resumé. However, some may falsify data if a certain job has specific requirements. It is therefore important for as many organizations as possible to be in the SpringRole platform so that they can attest whenever cited by applicants. Sometimes employers train their employees on some skills which are useful in their field. These skills can also be attested by the former employers whenever cited by their former employees. SpringRole would also act as a very good place to get credible employees. • Course and examination providers. There are a number of different institutions that do not offer the basic undergraduate programs but they do offer complimentary skills or even administer examinations in particular fields. These are also required in SpringRole. Many people have degrees from online short courses or have taken examinations that would allow them to practice certain professions. These bodies can attest to the qualifications of applicants who cite them as their source of knowledge or documentation. • Individuals. SpringRole can only be as strong as its user base. Those who may be seeking employment in various fields will be encouraged to sign up to the platform in order to receive top notch services as they seek to gain employment. They may also gain tokens through the platform by referring people to the platform or to institutions. Individuals who sign up and get attestations after completing their profiles also get rewarded with tokens which can be used to cater for activities in the platform. They will also act as a way of increasing the membership of SpringRole, the more people join the platform, the more others will feel compelled to join and enjoy the services provided. With such categories of members within the SpringRole ecosystem, the platform is sure to flourish if they get the right numbers and support from institutions and individuals alike.

SpringRole’s ecosystem will also include the Spring token which is a utility token that can be used to pay for various services within SpringRole. One of these services is attestation services. It may be possible for some type of fraud to happen in the platform if someone is determined to make it happen. As part of a security measure, some attestations, especially those by individuals will require these individuals to pay in SpringRole tokens such that it deters people from conducting any unethical practices using the platform. There will also be a point system used in the ecosystem that will point employers to potential employees who have been ranked positively according to the attestations they receive. This would help keep the platform competitive which would be great for both employer and employee. Furthermore, a bounty will also exist within the platform to keep the attestation quality high. Attesters will be awarded Spring tokens depending on the quality of the attestations they will have made in SpringRole.

Verified Users

It would be pointless to create such a platform then allow anyone to register without some proper verification process. KYC will be a standard while registering. This is important as many people may take advantage of job seekers and swindle them off money or their Spring tokens. Everyone that joins SpringRole will need to have completed a KYC form to prove their identity supported by original government documents. This is also an important step for the security of the platform. Verification will also be done for institutions joining SpringRole. With institutions it is far much easier to verify as established institutions are extremely hard to fake.

How SpringRole can be used

SpringRole can act as a lot of things beyond being an attestation platform. Here is a look at some of the accomplishments SpringRole can make, • Employee reference check which is its core function as a platform. • University reference checks. • As a job board. Employers can use the platform to scout for or advertise their opportunities to job seekers in SpringRole. • As a freelancing platform. Job Seekers can display their skills and get good attestations to obtain great skill points which would serve to expose them to their potential clients or employer. • Survey or feedback can also be obtained from SpringRole. • The platform can also be used by employers to carry out mock interviews as a way of getting their best candidates. There are other potential uses that may still come form the platform as innovations continue to grow. The use of blockchain technology will help keep things as transparent as possible to increase trust in SpringRole.
