Things You Need to Get Rid Of
Negative things are as part of our lives as positive ones, and some of them can be easy to get rid of!
TOO MANY APPS
A phone is, in most cases, your moving desktop. It's really important to have all the applications you need on sight to make your life easier and comfortable.
However, an excess of apps every time you see your phone can create a feeling of chaos. Sometimes, I get inside the app store and start downloading every single app that looks interesting. Of course, I end up forgetting about most of them the following day instead of deleting them.
Now I try to delete the ones I don't give any use and be more efficient with my iPhone’s space. Decluttering your phone can be liberating too!
TOO MANY SUBSCRIPTIONS
When it comes to magazines or subscription boxes, we can make the mistake of subscribing to them just to "try them" for a few months. However, we often end up keeping the subscription for more than we thought out of laziness or comfort.
It’s been a while since I stopped collecting magazines and I'm happy now that I have the extra space they use to occupy at home.
BAD NEWS EVERY MORNING
There is a difference between being interested in whats going on in the word and reading a ton of selected negative news every morning during your commute.
I feel that taking the newspaper at 7 am every day to read the negative report of the day (positive news simply don't sell that much) can be really upsetting and more damaging to your health than anything else.
TOO MANY BAGS
There is soo many reasons to not to have too many bags:
1.- We just need 2-3: The one for work and the one for going out. Maybe one more for cocktail parties.
2.- They actually occupy A LOT of space. In fact, I think it's one of the most annoying things to store. If you fold it, you can damage the bag's material, but without unfolding it'…it need half a closet.
3.- It's annoying to change your essential from one bag to another. In my case, there is always something missing that I left on the precious bag, either the chapstick or a pen.
4.- We always end up using the same bag. That one that makes you feel more comfortable.
EXTREME SELF-CRITICISM
Trying to be better and improve yourself is, in fact, a great virtue. However, there is a small line between trying to be better and be nasty to yourself every time something doesn't go the way you wanted.
We are our worst enemy, and to be aware of how hard we are with ourselves it's an important part of our self-development.
Train your brain to make you feel better even when society fails on doing so.
TOXIC PEOPLE
Toxic people comes in all ways and forms. Sometimes it's an extremely pessimistic friend, sometimes it's a flatmate or a relative. And the worst feeling is to think that you have to tolerate it.
Getting rid of toxic people can be difficult, especially if they are part of your social group. If you have to work together with that person, try to minimize the contact with them.
If the environment at your workplace it's toxic and you can see no way of minimizing the contact with them, consider starting sending Cvs to other companies. I know it sounds better said than done. But this is going to be something worth going through.
