What are we doing?

The beauty of nature — the blue of the ocean, the colors of flowers, the soothing sound of waves. For how long? What are we doing?

This is not new to anyone. We know that very well. We are trashing this planet — this home of ours. This food of ours. This life of ours.

Instead of veggies and fruits rich in fibres, we consume fish enriched by microfibres from our own clothes.

Instead of playgrounds for kids, we are building plastic patches on the ocean.

Instead of homes for people, we are building garbage hills and let people live there.

Our environmental footprints are getting deeper than the roots of trees and we just go on. And it does not make any sense to me. What are we doing?
