Blogging is when you use a web site to post information or curate a discussion and express your opinions, ideas and attitudes. You can use blogging to post images or have related links to informative articles. Some blogs can provide commentary or a specific topic , it can be used as a personal function where you can express your own thoughts or opinions, similar to a diary.

As a teacher Twitter would be effective because it could keep you updated with current and important information. It could be useful for information highlighting best classroom practices and innovative thinking. Making professional connections via social networking can not only result in a lot of great sharing ideas and resources, this social networking can also help tackle the isolation some teachers may experience.

Blogging would be a great tool to seek resources such as new programs, different methods of teaching, different classroom setups or structures that could be used to allow students to become more involved in group discussions and engage more effectively in their learning environment.

Personally, I think blogging would have a positive impact on me especially as an educator because it has the advantages to improve all aspects of my teaching career from positive to negative criticism allowing me to construct better classroom practices, providing my students with the best education they could get.
