let go.

I’m so interested in this aspect of life. Thank you for this piece.

My uncle died two years ago in a hospice facility. It was the closest I ever came to death: he died maybe ten minutes after I left. I’ve been thinking about this process ever since. How we avoid planning for and really being engaged with our own passing and the passing of our loved ones. How so many of us are thrown into it before we are ready. How difficult it is, even for those in the medical profession, to initiate and facilitate the necessary conversations about end of life care.

I look forward to hearing more about your work…and thank you for doing it.
