I saw that you got all those likes and it actually reminded me exactly of what it felt like to get all that attention from one thing that I wrote in a rage/sadness-induced fit — while the things I agonized over sit with three recommends and two comments. I wondered if it was a similar thing with you.

Your early notes are saved in three different places so I can find them when I start to question myself.

And so I say: YES. I’m getting it. I’m internalizing it, processing it, and trying to convert it into blood and spinal fluid so that it circulates throughout. And at the same time, learning that it doesn’t actually matter whether it’s four or four million — so long as I’m being as honest as I can, the people that matter most will see it for what it is.
