I'm a novelist, a teacher and a mom. I have two published novels, Trafficked and This is Not a Love Letter, and I'm working on my third. I teach novel-writing to kids, teens and adults. (Yes, even kids as young as nine!) In my articles for Medium, I talk about the challenges of these different roles in my life, how they conflict and also meld together in beautiful ways. I share teaching and writing tips, as well as writing with kids tips. Yes, that's a thing. I love this life, even though sometimes it's hard. I write about the "hard" in my novels. I teach with love and compassion and believe in uplifting my students.
