PS. The move to (minimum) quarterly observance of the Lord’s Supper was, unfortunately, necessitated by the role of circuit riding elders who couldn’t be in multiple distant parishes every Sunday. That said, in spite of their founders’ stated instructions, Lutherans and Presbyterians lost every Sunday Eucharist as well, the latter due to the impracticality of elders “examining” potential recipients for worthiness weekly.
