Where Diversity Really Lies

Diversity is a major buzz-word these days, particularly in academia, where I work. I think the pendulum has swung a little past the point of balance at the moment, which has left the old school feeling upset and underrepresented. Of course, everyone else is elated to finally be getting preferential treatment. For that reason, your explanation is a true breath of fresh air. I agree, each of us is unique, and diverse in our own special ways, and that is a beautiful thing. I hope many more people will come to understand that in the near future.
