This is such an important topic, one that can help us feel more connected to nature and landscape. Mostly, I am drawn to water, specifically the ocean. I don’t live near the ocean but made a vow a few years ago that I would try to get to the ocean, any ocean, at least once a year. It grounds me. I also had an experience in the Palouse area of eastern Washington State where I felt a deep connection to the landscape there — the vast space and rolling farmlands.
