I once got stuck at midnight on an unsolvable problem.

Told myself to power thru. 2 hours later still stuck.

Gave up. Went to sleep. Woke up 8 hrs later.

Here’s the weird thing: not only could I solve the problem after sleep, I couldn’t even recall what the problem really was.

It was as if I was two different people before and after.

Perseverance is important but not at the expense of energy. Or like u put it in the earlier part of the article – wise architectural energy
