How I imagine my perfect day.
I wake up to the sunshine sprinkling through the curtains around 7:30 am. I can hear the birds start singing in the distance. I get up and drink a glass of warm water and lemon and sit on the couch while I read for a few minutes. After i’m a little more awake I head into the kitchen and make myself a hearty smoothie. I then get ready to head outside to go for a hike. I crave being around water, so I choose a hike that ends at a lake. When I make it to the lake I enjoy a light snack while taking in the surroundings and letting it charge me up. The sun feels good on my skin and warms me up. The hike lasts for about 3 miles round trip as to not spend the whole day away. I make it home by noon where I take a hot shower and get ready for the rest of the day.
After i’m feeling relaxed from the shower and hike I make myself lunch. Probably a salad or sandwich with a glass of ice water with lemon. While I eat I open my laptop and read a couple of my favorite blog posts (probably about travel or digital nomads) as I ease myself into my work where I focus for two to three hours. Mid-afternoon I take a break where I take a walk, explore the city i’m in, or just curl up on the couch with a book or put on an episode of whatever show i’m watching. After about an hour or two of me time I sit down and work a couple more hours.
I am now done with work for the day so I get ready to meet friends for dinner and a drink. I meet them somewhere that we can sit outside. I order a fish dish and have a glass or two of wine. The evening ends as we enjoy the sunset and conversation.
My ideal day includes being in nature, exercise, eating healthy, delicious food, wine and good company. Throw some travel in there and it would be absolutely perfect.
