Benjamin, thank you for this inspired message. I am a huge proponent of the practice of writing first thing in the morning. You refer to them as “thought dumps” and Julia Cameron, who wrote The Artist’s Way, calls them “morning pages.” However one refers to them I, too, have found the practice invaluable for all of the reasons you mentioned.
What I love most about this is your suggestion to program our subconscious thoughts in the evening with intention. I will be wrapping that into my nightly routine starting tonight!
