I wish I didn’t know what you were feeling, but I hope my Maggie met your Liam on God’s playground, strong, happy, and whole, and that they will keep each other company until we can join them. Sometimes I wonder if God doesn’t love those children he calls home so early just a little bit more.

My Maggie wrecked my world and changed my life forever, without ever even having to take a breath. Every year on her birthday my family and I do random acts of kindness in her honor and to celebrate her life, because her life continues to matter, and it continues to change the world and make it a little better — just because she existed. God gives beauty for ashes and gladness for tears. It seems impossible, but I hope that you will find your way there. I will do a random act of kindness in honor of your Liam today.

There’s no doubt God had a purpose for Liam, and also for you and Blake in the midst of this. It is other-worldly, and so hard to understand. But I pray for you and Blake comfort, healing, and rest.
