With Disney’s live-action ‘Beauty and the Beast’ becoming such a massive hit, many moviegoers will undoubtedly want to explore the official tie-in media. One of the more unique projects is a graphic novel adaptation of the movie from veteran manga publisher Tokyopop.
He Said, She Said…
What makes this adaptation of the story so unique is that is broken up into two different books, one for each of the movie’s protagonists that tells the “tale as old as time” from their unique perspective.
The first release is Belle’s Tale, and the release is The Beast’s Tale, which tells the story from The Beast’s point of view. Below is a preview of The Beast’s Tale provided to The Kingdom Insider by Tokyopop, and it depicts the opening scenes of the movie. You can read it in the player below.
More Disney Manga
Tokyopop also publishes several other officially licensed manga series, such as The Nightmare Before Christmas, Alice in Wonderland and Finding Nemo. We’ve found the books to be of incredibly high quality and would encourage our readers to check them out if they have a chance.
