Why do we pray

Israfil. That would be angle who’s blowing the trumpet. It is said that Israeli is in a state of crying because he knows what’s going to take place and his tear won’t reach earth for if it was to reach earth we would experience the flood that Noah (As) experienced. It was told by the prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) said that when he was in the heavens coming down to earth he witnessed Israfil putting one foot after the other lips touching the trumpet taken a deep breath looking from the corner of eye waiting for the signal from allah (swt) to blow. When Mohammed (peace be upon him) came down from the heavens and went to earth he was in instant shock and warned the sahabah that the time was near asha (ra) told prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to calm down he said there’s no time to calm down. Now imagine that was 1450 years ago. And now let me ask YOU a question are you prepared to stand in front of your maker. Standing with a easy judgement and going to Jinnah (heaven) or with embarrassment and enter Jannanam (hellfire).

Oh children of Adam when the sun rises from the west all doors of forgiveness will be SHUT!!! Then those sinning behind the closed curtains will soon be reveled in the day of judgement that’s where there secret will be exposed Mohammed (peace be upon him) said “in the day of judgement there are going to be people who pray just like you me and have a mountain of good deed but Allan (swt) will turn it into dust” the sahabah got really sacred and said “ Oh messenger of Allah tell us what they do to deserve that so we don’t fall in the same sin. The prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) said “ they pray fast but when they get the chance to be alone they would sin behind closed curtains”.

A question we ask is what will we be asked on day and we were told by the beloved prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) said “the feet of the son of Adam will not move from near his lord on the day of judgement until he is asked these five matters:

  • abouthis life, how he spent it;
  • About his youth, how he took care of it
  • about his wealth, how he earned it
  • and how he spent it; and
  • about that which he acted upon from knowledge that he acquired
